HOW WOULD I DEFINE LOVE?
POETRY CHALLENGE UNDER THE MOON #2
An ineffable emotion that surpasses the test of time and stands out like a rock.
A silver lining to the dark corners of my life
on every damned day of my cerebral aura
when the unruly winds blow away my sanity
or the wild waves wish to throw me around
you anchor me with soul-warming affection
a cradle weaved with trust and togetherness
will rock-a-bye till the end of time
still, it happens on some overcast days
love feels like walking on a rope
articulately, on the tricky road
when love ties us too strong
the breathers of understanding
are like a relaxing Sunday brunch,
I gorge on the flavours of this
honey-kissed, spread of time tested amore
a dash of hugs added to it
while a hint of kisses caramelised
a perfect recipe for sweet love
my definition of life!
This is my perception of love and describing it under this prompt challenge by Write Under the Moon was a useful opportunity as I never paused and thought about it this much. This is just a mini rendition of what love is like after a lifetime spent together.
