An old man taking a dip and bowing in the holy waters to the almighty

The wind is weaving some magic through its song
pilgrims chanting by the river flowing strong
stars have aligned right, nothing can go wrong

They have been looking for some answers for years
their deeds would be judged in the heavens, life’s fears
dipping souls in holy waters, the fog clears

He has given us this chance for salvation
soaking souls, keeping faith in this tradition
take this Mahakumbh as its celebration

The Mahakumbh is going on in Prayagraj, India. As it is progressing, it is taking the shape of a global event. This event is all about taking a step closer to cleansing your soul of any sins and thanking God for all he blessed us with.

I found this the perfect subject to write a Stornelli poetry challenge given by Tree Langdon, as it is the current state of my mind.

Lovely poetry Meenakshi.
