What to do when heart and mind go separate ways?

It is a known fact that the human race is superior to other species because of its finest anatomy. It is a work triangle of sorts between the heart, mind and body. An emotional balance between the heart and the mind proves beneficial for the functioning of a healthy body and happy life. Yet there are times when we suffer because of the constant fight between our mind and heart.

Imagine a conversation between the heart and the mind……

Heart: I can’t let go.

Mind: You fool, you will spoil everything with emotions.

Heart: I value love and bonding.

Mind: What value does such a bond hold when it will play havoc on me?

The heart wants to go left while the mind takes a right.

You can relate to this when a decision is to be made where the heart doesn’t want to let go of the emotions while the mind says it is logical to let go.

Sometimes it turns okay when you listen and follow the rhythm of your heartbeats. Whereas, sometimes the echoes in your brain make you choose the way to peace of mind.

This happens numerous times in life when the heart doesn’t accept the decisions taken by the mind. These dominoes can create a wonderful pattern when this work triangle works in sync. Life throws many challenges in the face of such decisions, and we toss them to pave a smooth journey ahead.

The best way to go about it is to think about the outcome when you pick your emotions or thoughts as your navigator.

It sounds easier said than done but decisions can’t wait. We have to follow the breadcrumbs and reach the horizon of eventuality.

God helps those who help themselves. This explains that as we clear the shrouded canvas of our life, God helps us to make beautiful scenery out of it!!!!

As quoted by Helen Gahagan Douglas “The final battle is won or lost in our hearts and minds.”

If you liked my portrayal of this tug of war which happens in our life, let me know your way of handling this situation. Or you can reply with HEART or MIND in a comment if you are a firm believer in either!!!!
